APLA Health Announces $25 Minimum Wage

APLA Health has announced a new $25 per hour minimum wage for its workforce by January 2024.

In January 2021, the agency announced its intention to be a “pay leader” in LA County and adopted a $20 per hour minimum wage. Thereafter, APLA Health increased its minimum wage by 9% in 2022, to $21.80 an hour.

Effective January 1, 2023, APLA Health increased its minimum wage by 7% – to $23.37 an hour. Subsequently, APLA Health intends to increase it an additional 7% on January 1, 2024 to reach $25.00 per hour or $52,000 annually.

This commitment positively affects more than one third of our workforce, the majority of whom are people of color and women. APLA Health has earned consecutive Gold-Level Health Center Quality Leader recognition from HRSA (the Health Resources & Services Administration) due to their hard work and dedication.”

The organization continues to offer generous paid vacation and sick leave, full employer-provided health insurance coverage for all staff, and a 6% match to employee 403(b) retirement accounts.
