APLA Health congratulates the Honorable Ketanji Brown Jackson on her historic appointment to the United States Supreme Court
April 8, 2022 – APLA Health congratulates the Honorable Ketanji Brown Jackson on her historic appointment to the United States Supreme Court
“APLA Health is proud to congratulate the Honorable Ketanji Brown Jackson on her appointment as the 116th Justice of the United States Supreme Court, the first Black woman and first public defender to ever hold this position. This is a proud moment in our shared history and ‘herstory’ in action. Throughout her Senate Judiciary confirmation process, Judge Jackson maintained the kind of dignity, empathy, mettle and composure becoming of her new position. Having served at all levels of the justice system, Judge Jackson’s impressive and extensive breadth of legal experience simply speaks for itself. We are grateful for her service and the work yet to come.”
“Yesterday was a truly extraordinary moment. Today we continue on with the work of holding our national, state and local leaders accountable in our efforts to restore dignity and trust within underserved communities by providing world-class LGBTQ+ empowering healthcare, support services and HIV specialty care,” said Craig E. Thompson, CEO of APLA Health.
