California’s recall election on September 14th is a Very Big Deal

There is an election to recall Governor Newsom on September 14th and it’s a VERY big deal.

The election could have major implications for LGBTQ+ rights, healthcare, California’s efforts to stop the COVID-19 pandemic, and so much more.

So please… VOTE!!!

If you are a registered voter, you should have already received your ballot in the mail. The easiest and safest way to return your ballot is by mail (no postage required), or at any secure Ballot Drop Box in your community.

The ballot includes two parts. The first part requires a yes or no answer. You can either vote “no” to keep Governor Newsom in office or vote “yes” to recall the governor and remove him from office.

The second part allows you to pick one replacement candidate from a list. There are 46 candidates on the ballot with a wide range of party affiliations, experience, and backgrounds. Check out CalMatters.org for more information on the 46 people who want to replace Newsom.

KEY DATES TO REMEMBER

  • Return your vote-by-mail ballot by September 14th at 8:00pm
  • The last day to register to vote is TODAY, August 30th
